The thread connecting
Fashion and Nature
The Glacial Threads circular model breathes new life into the geotextiles protecting our glaciers: through mechanical recycling, the fiber resumes its journey as yarn, fabric, and ultimately, a new generation of sustainable fashion garments.

Innovation that Regenerates
Glacial Threads is a concrete response to the climate crisis and textile waste.
We use geotextiles made from biodegradable LENZING™ fibers to protect glaciers from summer melting and avoid microplastic pollution, to protect glaciers from summer melting. At the end of their use, these sheets do not become waste: they are recovered and transformed, via mechanical recycling, into new fiber which is then spun.
This “Glacier Yarn” is then woven to become the material with which premium brands can create high-end garments, featuring the precious added value of virtuous circularity and environmental respect.

Active
Protection
Glaciers are covered with a special non-woven geotextile made from TENCEL™ fibers. This natural material protects the ice from solar rays and drastically slows melting, without contaminating the environment with fossil-based microplastics.

Circular
Recovery
At the end of the summer season, instead of being sent to landfills like traditional covers, the geotextiles are removed and collected. Thanks to their biological nature, they represent a precious resource ready for a second life.

Textile
Rebirth
The recovered material enters the supply chain. It is shredded, re-spun, and blended with recycled cotton to create new fabric: sustainable, high-quality, and ready for the fashion market.
